Pacific Crest Trail Section A

Paul decided to invite Glen, Read "Death March" Miller and Monty "Warner Springs Monty" to accompany him. Glen and Read's schedule only allowed them to go as far as Scissor's Crossing, and Monty suffered some injuries that forced him off the trail early. Paul is an accomplished ultralight hiker in his own right, but he got to pick up a couple of new experiences, like hiking and setting up camp after dark, a pre-dawn start, and taking a dinner break and then hiking on for a few more miles.

	Monty checks out Glen's Fosters can Caldera stove in operation as Read looks on. Read was going no-cook to save weight. Dinner took advantage of the near-deserted Lake Morena campground. Then we hiked out to get a couple more miles in before stealth camping.		Read heads out as the sun starts to come up the next morning.

Longtime Gossamer Gear customer and ultralight evangelist Paul Cronshaw decided to hike Section A of the PCT in memory of his mother after her recent passing.
