Spectra cord, while offering great strength to weight ratios, can be daunting to use because of it's slippery feel. EZC line adds a blaze orange polyethylene sheath to a spectra core, giving the resultant combination a stiffer hand, and ability to use standard backcountry knots. The bright orange color helps keep you from inadvertently tripping over your guy lines, and makes it easier to find any loose lengths lying around. While the strength of EZC line would certainly allow it's use in bear-bagging for one or two travelers, we DO NOT RECOMMEND this use, as the polyethylene sheath is abrasive and harmful to many trees.
For the absolute lightest weight, you may want to consider our pure spectra line.
