Product Description
WE'RE CURRENTLY OUT OF THIS PRODUCT AND IT HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED.
Many ultralight backpackers are cooking with alcohol stoves for their light weight, simplicity of use and ability to precisely meter the amount of fuel carried. There are numerous plans on the web to allow you to build your own, and there are many types out there, but if you're looking for a beautifully hand-crafted stove that REALLY cranks out the heat take a good look at the White Box Stove™.
If you're like us you've had occasion to be smug when comparing the weight of your cooking kit with that of your friends as they fire up their more traditional stove, but maybe a bit green with envy as they begin to eat while you wait for your water to boil. Not so with the White Box Stove. This little monster will boil 2 cups of water in about 4 minutes on 2/3 of an ounce of fuel! It will hold more than 2 ounces of fuel and burn for up to 20 minutes as well.
The stove is made out of 100% recycled materials, doesn't need a stand and comes with a reflector and windscreen all neatly packaged in, you guessed it, a little white box. Like all alcohol stoves it's designed to burn denatured alcohol or you can use "Heet" in the yellow container in a pinch. The inner walls of the White Box Stove™ have a unique taper making it easier to eyeball fuel quantities. Finally, since this stove is a side burner it works best with a wider bottom pot like the Titan Kettle and is also ideal when cooking for more than one person.
Looking for a slightly smaller top burner stove for use with your Ultralight mug? Try the Fire-Fly™ stove.
