A Day in the life of an ALS patient
Share
We would like to bring to your attention Royce Cowan. He is a customer of ours and is a 27 year old ALS patient. We consider him to be quite inspirational. He is following his passion of backpacking in a really light way.
Here is what he has to say in his first post:
"My number one goal is staying alive for many years to come and secondly to hike every trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The park has approximately 900 miles of trails which can only be done through certain trail logistics that ads-on even more miles, the average being 1500… A final thought to anyone reading the blog. Whatever life throws at you take action as soon as you can. I now see this disease as a challenge. I feel as I have a new purpose in life and I plan on giving it my all in order to fulfill that purpose. Which is to help others heal their spirit, heal their health, heal their earth and heal others."
Hike on Royce, we admire your spirit and wish for you many more hikes to come.
