SUSTAINABILITY

We inspire and equip everyone to get outside.

Over 20 years ago, our founder Glen Van Peski realized that traveling lighter on and off trail is simply… better. Since the early days of hand-sewing each pack to order in Glen’s garage, we’ve remained committed to asking ourselves one question: Is this the right thing to do?

While the answer isn’t always a clear yes or no, the process of answering this question always puts us on the right track.

We care

about creating lightweight and innovative gear for our community.

about connecting with our customers on and off trail.

about acknowledging and making the conservation of wild places our responsibility.

about growing a more inclusive outdoor space.

about getting it right over being right.

The journey

We're committed to reducing our environmental impact because we recognize that it's our responsibility.

Our biggest goals are to always have something in the works, to evolve our approach to sustainability, and to enrich our communities along the way. This is why we are so excited to begin our journey into recycled fabrics, PFAS-free coatings, and recycled materials on our products.

Know that we apply the same integrity, care, and excellence with these projects as we do our product innovation.

Defining "take less. do more."

At Gossamer Gear, “take less. do more.” goes beyond a slogan or hashtag.

It serves as a reminder to maintain our relentless drive to eliminate the unnecessary in life, and focus on what’s important and worthy of “doing” to serve our customers, our community, and our wild places.
