Big improvement over the old foam pad. More breathable and comfortable than it looks and feels to the touch.

This upgraded Air Flow Sit Pad doubles as a back panel padding for our packs and an ultralight camp chair. Available in 3 sizes.
Designed specifically to be used in the pad pocket of any of our overnight backpacks. This multi-use feather-light pad will give structure to your pack, cushion your back and allow some air to circulate between you and the pack while keeping the pack body close to you. The SitLight can also be used to sit on in camp or during breaks, to lengthen your existing sleep pad or as a base for your pillow.
The foam is amazingly light and strong for its density. The pads are tough, flexible and resilient, and exhibit good UV stability.

Great air flow pad works as sit pad as well!!

I bit more "flexible" than I expected. I had hoped to use it to double for comfort and stiffness against my back with a frameless pack. We will see if that works or not and whether it stays in my gear list. I do see it being an excellent knee pad, as well as sitting pad while I am on the trail and while I am on the ground organizing gear at camp.

Slid right in my 420 pack excited to get it out on the trail and test this little booger out think it might just make a difference for sure. Nice quality as always.

I like this very much

I hope this will be much cooler on my back. Why doesn't Gossamer make these standard on $300 packs?

Great upgrade, highly recommend

Works great in my Kumo 36. I didn’t like how the medium fit.

Big improvement over the standard camp seat and provides a lightweight and comfortable backrest for the Gorilla backpack.

Good replacement for the standard pad that comes with the Gorilla and Mariposa. Haven't used enough yet to know if helps with back ventilation.

Amazing! Cant wait to test it out

A great seat !! I spent this past august and September doing multi day hikes in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho…. Of course it helps to cushion the load from your pack to your back but the biggest asset is …after miles of hiking and your spent …. you can so easily remove this from your pack and have a comfortable seat …. That is worth a million bucks after a grueling day of hiking… a cushion for your ass .. camp shoes .. a nice fire, and some nip of rum ….and you are living large in the wilderness!!! … thanks gossamer!!

Definitely worth the upgrade Necessary upgrade. I was skeptical at first, but i am far less sweaty now and it is much more cushioned than the stock pad.

Great addition Love this thing. No way I'm going to trek around with a 2 pound foldable chair. I love this thing, it takes 2 seconds to pull out/put back on and is great for lunch breaks or sitting at camp. Not to mention the added padding for your back. Don't hesitate. 100% worth it.

And the new winner is! Just got back from my first trip with the Air Flow Sitlight campiest and I couldn't be happier. I did notice some reduction in sweat but more than anything it just seemed to make the pack ride better. Very happy with the purchase!

Butt pad is my must I built a homemade UL pack to use this as an outside structure on the back. It is easy to grab during a break along the trail and with the venting fabric on one side it helps keep my back drier. I think having a butt pad is a key piece of functional luxury for around camp. I am glad I splurged on this one.

Works great I use this instead of the pad that came with my Kumo.
Andrew S. 5/5
Convenient It was good to have a dual-purpose pad and seat.
Jimi D. 5/5
Fabulous Adds greater ventilation to my pack.

Rigid and Airy Vast improvement over the original foam pad, which is pretty dead after 10 years. Too bad for GG, but it extended the life of my Mariposa Plus.
Timothy P. 5/5
Better than the factory pad I really like this pad. It breathes, isn’t as hot as the factory foam pad, and it makes a really great sit pad around camp.
Brendon L. 5/5
Light and Versatile It is very light and allows my back to cook off from the backpack. I’ve used it as a sit pad and pillow booster-mainly to stop those blow up pillows from slipping and sliding. I put those two items in a t shirt and that was my pillow.

Gossamer Gear Sit Pad I used this pad as the back / removable sit pad in the Gossamer Gear Mariposa for my CDT hike. I couldn't fault it - very comfortable and lightweight.
Rob H. 5/5
Nice sit/back pad Comfortable and breaths reasonably well while in the back of the Gossamer Gear pack. No noticeable pressure points from inside the Mariposa pack, and everything was not smooth and round in there.
Blayne C. 5/5
Does the job I always run hot and knew I would need something extra when I got my Mariposa 60. I purchased this right of the gate and didn't even try the pad that comes with the pack. I was far from completely dry, but I would never expect to be. I though I would use it more as a seat pad but I have never bothered pulling it out as it seems like it would be a bit of a hassle to get it back in the sleeve of a loaded pack. Overall it met my expectations and I'm glad I upgraded.

game changer This pad transforms my experience with my Gossamer packs. I have a Gorilla and Mariposa and my literal only complaint is now hot my back gets with the pads they come with. This pad takes that complaint away, my back doesn't feel like a slimy wet hot mess, and I am completely comfortable. I love my Gossamer packs and this pad makes me love them more.
Erica S. 5/5
needed upgrade I like this better than the pad that came with my G4-20, wish it was the standard pad/frame. It's easier to slide in and out of the frame pouch but I'm not so sure it's helped with back ventilation/sweat reduction
Glenn M. 4/5
Cooler on The Back Works well. Better than what originally comes with the packs.
Cameron V. 5/5
comfortable, high quality construction transforms my barebones packable summit bag into a more comfortable light weight every day bag, also functions as an extra cushion wherever you go I still sweat but the texture is an upgrade over the thin foam sheet the bag came with

Air Flow.SitLight Pad Loving the sitlight pad. I can definitely tell a difference keeping my back cool. It has also stiffened up the back a bit and rides more comfortable than before. Every pack should have this pad!
Marcs S. 5/5
Better I got this to replace the foam sit/ frame pad that came with my Zpacks Sub-Nero. It fits perfect and works better.
David F. 5/5
Great but a touch short for the medium Kumo This is an upgrade to the Sitlight pad in the ventilation department for sure. It provide slightly better structure as well and is much easier to remove and install which means I use it more for its intending purpose. Having said that it is about an inch short for my current gen medium Kumo interestingly it fits my current gen medium Mariposa better still short but only by about 1/4 inch.

Back pad Worth the upgrade

Great for a sit-pad & extra pillow thickness This product is extremely light and durable, and the price is totally fair for what you get. I'm currently using this as a sit-pad for breaks and at camp. I also use this to get better sleep (as a side sleeper). I got the medium to fit under my Nemo pillow to help my pillow get extra height, and it also helps my pillow from sliding off my pad all night. Recommendations: Add a cinch cord or lightweight strap to the back so it can stay wrapped around a sleeping pad. Then this product would be 6/5 stars :)
Jared A. 5/5
Sturdy Nice pad, easier to get in and out of the pad versus others. Provides decent frame support. Overall I like it better than the stock pad that comes with the gorilla. Not sure that it really breathes any different though.

Luxury upgrade. Purchased as an upgrade for the ultra thin 11x17 foam framesheet/sitpad in my favorite summit pack. A major upgrade in both cushioning and stiffness. Nice fabric and a multifunctional sit pad, chair cushion or extra pillow
Gorpsmasher2000 5/5
Nice but there's a catch It's easier to install and it does provide nice cushion, though minimal, for sitting. You should be aware the fabric that covers this pad absorbs water (sweat) and will add a few ounces to the pack if you tend to get your pack damp with sweat or hiking in rain. Mine weighted 7.6 oz after getting it wet (size large). It's well made but the fabric is very absorbent. Just an FYI.

A must have for the Mariposa This is a must have item that doubles as a camp seat and back pad for my mariposa backpack. I like items that can serve as dual purpose and help reduce weight.
Michael T. 5/5
Great upgrade I bought this to upgrade the sit pad that came with the G4-20. It feels more comfortable and is a bit more rigid in the pack.
