I had the old version and this is considerably better with another zipper in the back and 2 net pockets internally.

I bought the bum bag for my daughter’s partner as a birthday gift. He’s an avid outdoorsman with every kind of gear imaginable so is very difficult to buy for. He is thrilled with the bag and so am I!
Not too big, not too small, just a perfect ergonomic shape.
I used this for my thru hike of the PCT with my Mariposa when I lost enough weight to switch to the small belt. I loved the bumster. It is a great size, very light, incredibly durable, I hiked in 2021 and it's currently 2026 and I still use it. I used it as my primary purse up until a couple of months ago! It washed incredibly well in the washing machine. I put it in a garment bag and it's perfectly fine. I don't need it to be waterproof but you can treat it to be if you want that with a NikWax treatment. 10/10 recommend, I plan on buying another color :)

Have had this for several years and it really works well for day hiking. I have plenty of extra room in my pack, but what it lacks is easy quick access to items I access frequently while on the move. Worn as a waist pack, the Bumster fills that role easily and I often wear it just wandering around town after the hike. Very light and comfortable, small enough to be discreet under my shirt but large enough for my keys, wallet, and reading glasses. Really appreciate the position of the buckle; intuitively placed and does not interfere with backpack. My only complaint: the zipper of the secure pocket too easily catches on the flap of fabric that hides the zipper. So much so that tend to ignore it or just stash things I don’t mind removing the pack to access.
After returning 3 other fanny packs the Bumster is a keeper! It was more than I wanted to spend but I love everything about it.
This is a great bag, but a little bigger than I was looking for.
Great balance between features and ultralight. Not completely floppy and not overly structured. Practical back pocket for easy phone access. love the pouches inside one for wallet one for keys, that’s how I use them, keeps the main compartment free for small water bottle, sunglasses, miscellaneous.
This is one of the VERY FEW waist packs that recognizes that the buckle should not be in the middle of the back, where a backpack will rest and push it into your back. The buckle on this one is right at the side, when I intuitively reach for quick attach and dis-attach, even when I have a pack on. For that reason, its light weight, and its handy everyday size, I wear it almost constantly when out of the house, typically with phone, keys, reading glasses, lip balm, and wallet. You need to get something larger if you go much beyond that. I've worn out one of these, and immediately replaced it with another. I can't think of a piece of gear that I've gotten more use out of than this.
Great fanny pack. The cinch belt slips a little tho. Still recommend it, esp for the price.

I love the Bumster, but a second larger 3L size bag would resolve heavier cargo days. My 2 Maui Jim glasses cases are large, large iPhone, and things get really tight. Could you make a larger one? I would combine the characteristics of your two waist packs and widen & lengthen the waist band. I think this would fill a need in the marketplace as all other bags really get heavier with thicker material, etc. Thanks for your products and consideration! Mark

I purchased the yellow Bumster along with the Loris 25 Daypack. I’ve use it every day since purchase to wear during hikes, bike rides and walks. I stow my phone, reading glasses, wallet, keys, and sometimes a few other items, as needed. While riding bicycle I sometimes need to answer my phone, stowed safely in the Bumster, and I find the structure of this pack, and its smooth zipper, to be very easy to open and close. I greatly appreciate this bag and highly recommend it.
Perfect in every way! I am a brand-new backpacker and took the Bumster on my virgin trip. I can't imagine ever not having it. It's the perfect size for snacks, lip balm, nosecoat and wipes and the two interior mesh pockets are a game-changer. It's the perfect size for holding all my valuables during quick store runs and the back pocket is perfect for I.D. & credit/debit cards. I'm sure I will be using it for other activities too. Outstanding customer service The bumster is sweet, right on point. But….. the customer service from this team is flat out amazing! I ordered some good stuff and I guess they never turned up when it was in the shipping company’s hands. I couldn’t track it down myself so I reached out to them, Tripp was on it. Great little Bumster. My only complaint is the back zipper gets caught on the material when I have my phone in there sometimes. Luckily it comes out of the zipper teeth every time. Other than that seems solidly built with great inner pockets

Bumster is a great addition I bought this purely as a way to carry snacks and quick accessible items in combination with my Murmur 36 Hyperlight and I couldn't be happier with the size and organization. This is a permanent piece of my kit now.
Organization at its best! Added this item to my backpacking set up. Wanted a handy place for my daily snacks. And it works perfect for that. I was surprised at the two mesh pockets on the inside. Really helps to put little things in like hair ties and lip balm. The zippered pocket in the back is perfect for keys or my phone fits in there and I have a very large phone. Thought I was gonna use this for just backpacking but turns out I love it so much that I’m using it for my daily walks around town with the dog.
The Buster is AWESOME in EVERY way! What a fantastic, hip or fanny pack it’s amazing. It is lightweight. Perfectly designed and beautiful on top of that functionally. It’s just right and the material and the colors are beautiful and strong and lightweight. The other thing that is fantastic is I never understood why many of these packs have a buckle in the back. If you use them with a pack, the buckle is annoying or in the way at the least the buckle is on the side on the Bumster and it’s all just right! Thank you so much I love it I’m sure I will use it for a dog walking as well as backpacking.
Surprisingly good! Was gifted this while on my thru-hike of the Appalachian trail in New Hampshire and honestly after a few days it became one of my favorite pieces of gear!!!!! Didn’t buy one because I never thought I’d want one but I wish I bought it before I started the trail!!!

Perfect fanny pack for hiking and everyday life I have used this on my thru-hike of JMT and it was one of the best new things I added to my gear list. I had there everything I need to have handily available - cell phone, knife, lipstick, napkins, pen, etc., including my passport. Perfect. It is also very handy if you go anywhere and want to keep your pockets empty. I can only recommend this item.
Works for me Design and size suits my needs perfectly. Place for my phone, headlamp, couple small snacks, and a fairly secure spot for keys and travel"wallet" (would like to see a key clip added for added security / peace of mind either in backside main compartment or inside back/outer zippered pocket).... What would be a nice to have is maybe a swappable belt: e.g., an option to have slik clips so that it can be directly attached to my frameless packs, just a nice to have thought. It has taken a beating from me so far and keeps coming back for more. Zippers have functioned well, no issues so far; I do clean / lube all my zippers as part of std gear cleaning / maintenance, which may help. Would like to see a version in ULTRA fabric for a bit more water resistance. Overall very happy but just a bit shy of 5*
Just what I was looking for. I had intended to get the hipster, but it's been out of stock, so bought the bumster instead. Good call! It is just the right size, fits well and is easy to get things in and out of. It has multiple pockets for those that need them, and the zippers work great. I had bought a cheaper Amazon hip pack but it broke right away. This is better quality and a great value.
Excellent butt pack Superb. Got this as my Osprey Exos 58 has no hip belt pockets. Works great for me. Particularly like the buckle on the side, as this is a great feature unlike my last butt pack whose buckle dug into my back. Well done on the Bumster!
Bumster Bum Pack Great material, great size to hold your small essential items for hiking. Great location of zippers to separate important items you don’t get out very often. Extremely useful piece of gear.
A little to big I ordered the Bumster because the smaller version -- the Hipster -- is out of stock. Bumster would be great for hiking as you can fit more in it, but I wear my hispter all of the time instead of carrying purse just for my cell phone and house key. What I wish the Bumster had was the little plastic carabiner inside to secure a key. I'm using a safety pin as a substitute. Also, wish the bumster and the hipster came in black. Why was black discontinued????
Back zipper is weak link Love simplicity and the elastic inner pockets. Zipper facing body is weak and should be better - mine gets stuck
