Customer photo review of Loris 25 Daypack

I’ve taken it out twice for a 3 and 2 hr hike. It’s very comfortable to wear. I like the flap closure and the zipper opening into the main compartment. It makes it easy to get to items that are at the bottom. I like that the sternum strap can be adjusted up or down. The built in seat pad is a nice feature. The only con is that I can’t reach my water bottles without taking off the pack and I wish the zipper on the small outside pouch was horizontal instead of vertical. Things kind of slide out when open. But overall I really like it.

I used my Gossamer Gear Loris 25 daypack on my trip to Switzerland and I loved it. It was so comfortable it hardly felt like I had anything on my back. I love the large side pockets the held my water bottles nicely. The hip belt pockets were nice as well and kept my snacks and electrolytes readily available. Great pack for a reasonable price!

Exceptional color and quality! Only issue... I'm 5'3" and I find the shoulder straps and torso length aren't quite great for me (the shoulder straps are so pretty stiff and come close to my neck, hopefully they break in a little over time and the pack gapes a little bit since it's longer than my torso), but I just love all the features of this pack and you can't find anything else like it. I was and to adjust well enough with the straps. It carries the load BEAUTIFULLY. I had two water bottles on either side and lots of jackets and snacks stuffed in for a hike with my family and I almost forgot I was wearing this! Very happy I got the waist belt with it. If you're shorter than 5'3" it might not work for you. Shoulder straps are perfect on husband who's 5'10".

This pack is wonderful, alot of space inside and light weight. Comfortable pack I ever had and doesn’t swing or bother you going on trail heads.

Well, Gossamer has done it again! I already own a Mariposa 60, a Kumo 36, and a Cima 15. Did I really need another pack? Of course I did. I took this bad boy for its maiden voyage on a 10 mile day hike and was just as pleased as I am with all the others. I don’t know how Gossamer does it, but every pack seems to feel the exact same. The comfort level is remarkable (as with all my others). What I love about this pack is the zipper in the front middle that makes getting to the bottom of the pack simple without digging around. Also of note is the zipper pocket on the top flap for quick need items like my glasses. The pockets on the shoulder straps are perfect for a sweat rag and some snacks. The picture shows what I packed and it only took up about 1/3 of the pack. I’m not sure how comfortable it would be after a long day if it were fully packed as it doesn’t have a waist belt, but that is one thing I like about it. If it is anything like my other Gossamer packs, I’m sure it will feel just as nice as it did with what I took on my first hike. Kudos Gossamer! Now I just need to get out and try my new Gossamer Twinn tarp I just got!!! Thanks again from a lifelong, certain to repeat customer!

Amazing day pack. I was skiing in Yellowstone on the Spring Creek Trail and we stopped to have lunch. I had left my sit pad at home and was prepared to sit on the snow. I then realized the back pad was a sit pad. I had no idea when I bought it. I love that the water bottle pouches have things that can attach to the water bottles so I don’t lose them. The shoulder straps are a bit stiff but they don’t rub. I love the lightness of the pack. Will be buying this pack as presents for my kids.

This is the perfect daypack! My husband loves this version for day hikes and family hikes. It’s light, easy to get water, and the mat always comes in handy to sit and have a snack!

We love Loris!! 25L but more room than you realize! The outside pockets are stretchy and easy to access. Zipper and clip top can be extended easily. It’s a great design! Love the sit pad back . Cool and soft . The pack is crazy light!!! Love the interior pockets that are as deep as the pack . Add the fast belt and you can go anywhere! Great as a carryon too

Customer photo review of Loris 25 Daypack

I bought the Loris 25 to be my 'personal item' on airplanes; on long flights I use the pad as a seat cushion. The pack has also become to go to pack for day hikes. It's very comfortable, the straps stay put (even without the stermum strap buckled), a problem I've had with other packs. I like the simple fold over lid and the center zipper makes it easy to get to things. All in all a very practical day pack.

Amazing backpack , took it for a day hike through the sirilankan jungles and it was pouring without a single drop inside, super comfy for me at first i was skeptical about the wide shoulder pads but ended up perfect

This pack is so light and holds so much for its size. I carried supplies for three nights out in the mountains--slept and ate in backcountry lodges, so didn't need to carry a tent or much food--but I got a LOT in there. Added a Fast Belt, which worked well. The foam pad in the back may have been a little hot, but any full pack with structure will generate some heat if you're working hard. Thanks for the well-designed product!

This pack was perfect for our trip Kauai. Would absolutely recommend as a combo airplane travel/hiking day pack. Met both needs perfectly. Fits under the seat in the airplane and we hiked all over the island in it and I found it very comfortable.

Customer photo review of Loris 25 Daypack

Really impressed with this new pack. I have used it on a handful of day hikes now, although it's spring/summertime I don't fill the pack all the way and it looks a little silly not full but it's very comfortable. It actually adds airflow between the pack and my back when it's not full. I love the two shoulder pockets, perfect to carry my iPhone in one and sunglasses in the other. I have also filled it up and used as a carryon while flying twice now. It comfortably held my laptop and an extended weekend worth of clothing, shoes and toiletries. I bought the fast belt to go with, very happy this setup.

I broke the pack in on a 10 mile hike, in June, on the Ouachita Trail in Arkansas. It was very comfortable. I like the mesh pockets on the shoulder straps, one for phone and one for water bottle (which also serves as a hat rack while hiking). I also like the big mesh pocket on the back, which my 18L Osprey does not have.

Loris 25 Daypack

extremely comfortable on day hikes. It doesnt swing and it hugs to you like it is not there.

Loris 25 Daypack

Super comfortable, great water bottle pockets, very well thought out! I love this day pack.

Loris 25 Daypack

I’ve purchased five different packs from these folks over the past five years. They have all met or exceeded my expectations for fit and finish but they exceed expectations on durability. I’ve abused them. The only repair I’ve had to make is for broken buckles that they provided free of charge. I highly recommend Gossamer Gear.

Loris 25 Daypack

Looking forward to traveling with this bag back east. Like the design and entry to the pack and that it zips half way down the pack.

Loris 25 Daypack

Glad I decided on this pack. Paired with the fastbelt, I was able to easily carry 2.5 L water bladder, snacks, and layers on 4, 8, and 5.5 mile hikes. For those complaining there is no hook for a bladder, a tiny carabiner does the trick. The trekking pole holders work well as do the easily accessible water bottle holders. The pockets on the fastbelt accommodate my phone and can be accessed with one hand. I am flat chested due to a bilateral mastectomy so the straps do not bother me—in fact, I found them very comfortable.

Loris 25 Daypack

Love my new day pack! Lightweight, beautiful colors, and the zippered opening makes digging through the pack easy. I also love the front shoulder pockets. They are perfect for holding bear spray and my phone.

Loris 25 Daypack

I love the pack! High quality , lots of room. I only gave 4 stars vs 5 because the straps are a bit thick and stiff, but I'm hoping they soften with use. My shipment was lost ( USPS) and Gossamer sent a replacement so I had it in time for my hiking trip!

Loris 25 Daypack

Pack is exactly what i need for a 10 mile day hike

Loris 25 Daypack

I really like the overall design of the loris 25. I added the fastbelt which is definitely worth it. Really the only thing that would make this near perfect would be some ventilation on the straps, maybe die cuts to help air flow. An extremely comfortable pack with just the right amount of pockets and accessibility.

Loris 25 Daypack

Perfect day pack! It is a great size for long day hikes and is very comfortable. I love the wide shoulder straps and capability to add the waist strap. It has pockets in all the right places and the mesh panel is great!

Loris 25 Daypack

As a “retired” thruhiker I have high expectations and standards and I’m hella nit picky about my packs. This lil gem basically hits all the marks. I’m in a field botany program and all my classmates are jelly for the foam back insert/dirt seat and easy pouch access. Love this pack!

Loris 25 Daypack

I really like the backpack. It’s light and extremely comfortable.

Loris 25 Daypack

Great pack and worked great on the 1st trek to Misery Ridge/Smith Rock SP in Central Oregon. Perfect size and very comfortable fit.

Loris 25 Daypack

Well made comfortable pack. Will get a lot of use this year . Thanks

Loris 25 Daypack

Good weight great quality

Loris 25 Daypack

Super Comfy, lightweight but holds all my loot! Was even water resistant in heavy fog. Her name is lil' posie pack, shes the little sister to my Mariposa 60 'posie pack'. Love the teal color!!💗

Loris 25 Daypack

Awesome day pack! Lightweight with more than enough room for day hiking. I hardly know that I am wearing it! Very happy that I bought it!!!

Loris 25 Daypack

The Loris 25 pack is a great pack. Lightweight and love the colors they come in. It holds alot of gear. The only recommendation I would have is to add a small zippered pouch inside the main compartment and add a small hook to clip your keys on. Other than that its a great pack.

Loris 25 Daypack

Well designed, well made day pack that truly excels in all areas. Solid construction and super comfortable to wear. 25 Liters is the perfect size for extended hikes. One of the best purchases I have ever made. Highly Recommended.

Loris 25 Daypack

Had to wear the Loris 25 a few of times. 240816fr, the day I completed 77 orbits around the sun, I took it to Vasquez Rocks and did a Day Hike on the PCT and the Loop Trail. And I have used it on all my morning hikes. My opinion? EXQUISTE, WONDERFUL, AMAZING, and any other superlative you care to add. A+ /4.0 for Gossamer Gear on this pack. My day pack has been the GG Minimalist 19 for the last five years--I still will be using it off and on. But the LORIS 25 will now be MY DAYPACK, from here on out. I am impressed, I am grateful. I am happy and I am pleased. A quality product, really well made, at a more than fair, very reasonable price. Thanks to the entire Gossamer Gear Crew.

Loris 25 Daypack

Replacing a very old day pack that was bulky and never fit right (didn’t stop me from putting a decade of miles on it though)- purchased the Loris and I am In Love. Took it on a few day hikes so far including a scrambly, rocky, steep ADK 46er and it was perfect. Impetus to purchase was an upcoming supported 4 day 40 mile hike out west and I cannot wait to use it! Highly recommend. I wish the fast belt came standard but we waiting for it to come back into stock and love the way it fits and feels.

Loris 25 Daypack

I have used the Lori’s daypack with the fast belt on a couple hikes now and it has been great. Very comfortable with the fast belt able to keep the shoulder straps from pulling on my shoulders. Seems well made. The only minor negative comment is it would be better if the small inside stays on the shoulder straps did not protrude above the shoulder padding area.

Loris 25 Daypack

I’ve worn the Loris 25 daypack only a few times. I’ve given it a 4, which may go up to a 5 after the somewhat stiff padded shoulder straps are more broken in and conformed to my body. (When young I had shoulder surgery, which did more harm than good, resulting in overly sensitive nerves in the shoulders. In essence the 4 rating is more about me than about the pack.). The Loris 25 is an extremely well designed and made daypack. It has a dedicated place for a hydration bag and 2-directional routing of the tube, it has cinch straps near the side pockets that function also to secure water bottles (this is a singularly awesome feature that most daypacks lack and it’s frustrating when the bottle falls out while simply bending over, no more with this pack though!), and I greatly appreciate the flexibility of the roll-top to expand the volume of what can be carried. I was informed by staff at Gossamer Gear that the Lightrek Hiking umbrella works well with the Loris, yay! I can switch the umbrella between my Mariposa and Loris on hot sunny or potentially rainy days. As I culled my larger backpacks down to the Mariposa, I am also culling my daypack herd down to one, the Loris 25. I highly recommend this thoughtfully designed, quality pack.
