This simple easy to use shoulder strap pocket, while designed with our hiking packs in mind, will fit on most any pack. With a wide opening zipper and a wee bit of foam to help it hold it shape make it very easy to access your goods. The plush soft interior liner is protective . This pocket attaches securely and easily with one vertical strap and two horizontal wrapping wings. A front mesh stretch pocket makes it the perfect extra storage pocket.

This little pouch is a game changer for hiking. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and it’s too big for a lot of pockets. This pouch makes it so easy to access for photos on the trail. It straps onto your backpack easily and securely. I love this thing!!! I’d love to see it in some other fun colors.
I used the Gossamer Mariposa on the Wonderland trail, this shoulder phone pocket was so helpful while on the trail. My mom did get one, but was jealous the whole time! Finally bought her one to build up her fabulous gossamer gear collection! Essential to backpacking trips! Thanks gossamer gear!
Used once. iPhone 14 fit well and zip top kept it secure. Does what I wanted.
Build quality is great and I like the newer style of attachment. I have an iPhone 13 Pro with slim otterbox case and the smaller pouch just barely fits it. It will zip closed but it’s snug. Can’t beat the price for what you’re getting.
The medium fits a Samsung Galaxy S23 perfectly in both the front mesh pocket and inside the zipped compartment which is great for stashing small misc items or the phone when it rains. I attach it to the side of my back usually though it works well on a strap as well.

I lost count of how many of these I have, or have gifted to fellow backpackers. Hands down, the best phone pocket available, and I have tried many! The medium fits a Note 10 with a protective case on it. Holds onto the phone securely, even without zipping the pocket closed. Makes taking the phone out for pictures, and putting it back in, a one-hander. Super great quality. The front mesh pocket holds lip balm and a pair of reading glasses. I usually hang a Thermo-Drop from the side loops. The newer attachment design is so much better than the original method. Good call on the upgraded system.
I strap it on my camelback and it works perfect to hold my small pepper spray and airhorn.
Bought one at an outdoor sporting goods store two weeks ago and was so impressed I purchased 2 more through your website. I attached it (vertically) to the front shoulder strap on my camel backpack on a 17 mile trail run. My iphone (with an Otter box case) fit perfectly as did an (older) iPod on another run. Able to hear music without issue. Not cumbersome. Stayed in place. Thinking I may try it horizontally on a belt. Happy with my purchase. Excellent quality.
This addition is great! I carry a solar charger in the original pocket and because there are two pockets on the add on strap pocket, I have a place for my phone and satellite GPS tracker.
I love how it holds my phone so very well. No danger of slipping out. That part works so well. The only minus? I wish they had made the mesh a bit more meshy. If you are carrying your phone, hard to get anything into the mesh pocket other than a couple of 3x5 cards. A tiny tube of sunscreen? No way. BUT I sure got my money's worth.
It’s a great product for the price. My only suggestion would be to put a better quality zipper pull vs a small, thin piece of paracord. Check out the zipper pulls used by Osprey for example.
It's perfect. I recently got a new phone and it is too big and clunky for my pants pocket. The Shoulder Strap Pocket secures nicely to my pack, my phone fits perfectly, and it's easy access for photos on the trail or a quick nav check. The front mesh pocket is great for glasses, I can securely fit both pairs (sun and prescription) in there without a worry. I highly recommend. Great quality construction and the price can't be beat!
This pouch is a good size. It has useful pockets. I easily holds my phone, a protein bar and some cliff blocks. My problem is the attachment velcro. It is not sticky enough for me to feel confident that it won't come off when I put a heavy pack on my back. I had to take my essentials out of it on a recent backpacking trip because the velcro had come undone, and I was about to lose my phone. If there was just a more solid attachment, I would love it.
great alternative to the Hyperlite version of this....i like that this one is just a little wider on the front pouch so it's easier taking my phone in and out. great connection system, very versatile.
Why did i wait so long to purchase this? Makes my phone accessible and the velcro keeps it one place! The phone never slides around on the strap. This makes my hiking/running life easier!

Honestly, this seems to be a "bit" heavier than I am going to want. I should have paid more attention to the weight specs. But it is well constructed and that added weight will certainly protect my phone better than lighter weight options. So, I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt and test in on trail more. I will update my review as needed after spending more time on the trail with it.
Purchased for my 19 year old Granddaughter who taking up backpacking with me. She can't wait to try it out. Easy access to her most important object. Her phone.

I have been looking for a shoulder strap pocket that would fit my Samsung Galaxy S23FE, which is fully protected in a waterproof case. I use a variety of backpacks, so the pocket needs to easily to attach and detach. Most of the shoulder straps are designed if you have the daisy chain straps, mine do not. I bought the Large. My phone fits in both the zippered and mesh pockets. I find the design secures the shoulder strap pocket and easy to attach to my different packs. Love this prodcut!!

Cool strap pocket
I purchased two of the large pockets, one for me and one for my wife. My wife did not use hers. it was too big and obstructive on her backpack. I used mine for my phone and snacks. I really liked it attached to my left shoulder strap. I could easily remove my phone to take pictures. We recently walked the camino de santiago in Spain. I will use mine again, my wife might consider a smaller size.

I bought this pocket and have used it for a few thousand miles. Its held up very well and despite its use is wearing very well. No issues with workmanship or breakdown. The problem I found using the main pocket for my cell and the front pocket for misc small items is that the main pocket gets squeezed to be more narrow by the attaching straps which has gotten worse over time. This results in some drag removing my cell and a lot of drag or downright occlusion getting the phone back in after using it. Since the pocket is made of soft materials with no stiff support to maintain shape it makes the pocket grabby so my cell can't just slip in and be done. The velcro attachment straps are just ok. So its a decent pouch with some shortcomings that I hope the designers can address in future revs.
I use the pocket for my compass and phone. It's just the right size for both. It's easy to attach/remove which, allows me to take it with me when I leave my pack behind.
Fits well; dies what it is supposed to do
Finally found the perfect phone pocket for my huge 6.8" display Samsung S24 Ultra. I've tried multiple pockets from REI and online, returning three. After finding this site, I read the reviews and saw it accommodated previous Ultra-generation phones. After checking the specifications, I was confident it would fit, and it did! Can't wait to go hiking with it and access my phone quicker.

I'm pretty happy with it! It's a great size for my phone (Galaxy S22 with a thin case) without being too bulky. Easy attachment and operation to keep rain, sand & dust out. I do wish there were more colour options, but the grey goes well with everything!

It was easy to attach to my day pack, comfortable and grabbing my phone from the pouch was much more convenient than fishing it out of my pants pocket every time I wanted to take a photo on the trail.
